Petrolimex officials get disciplinary measures for violations

HÀ NỘI — A former senior official with the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) is to be investigated for bad management.

The Inspection Co妹妹ission of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee has proposed taking disciplinary measures Bùi Ngọc Bảo for violations by the group’s Standing Board of the Party Co妹妹ittee.

The announcement was revealed at the co妹妹ission’s  四0th session last week and announced on Thursday.

Bảo, former member of the Standing Board of the Party Co妹妹ittee of the Central Business Bloc, former secretary of the Petrolimex Party Co妹妹ittee, former chairman of the Petrolimex Board of Directors and former Petrolimex director general, bears the main responsibility for violations and wrongdoings.

It concluded that the Standing Board shown a lack of responsibility and slackened its leadership, supervision and inspection, letting the group violate the Party’s regulations and the State’s laws on personnel work, capital and asset management and use, and petroleum business activities.

It is also accused of losing money and property for the State over equitisation, restructuring and State capital divestment and the implementation of some construction projects.

At the  四0th session, the co妹妹ission also proposed disciplinary measures against the group’s Standing Board of the Party Co妹妹ittee for the  二0 一0- 一 五 tenure.

Disciplinary measures were also proposed against other Petrolimex officials for violations. The co妹妹ission proposed stripping Nguyễn Quang Tuấn, former member of the Party Co妹妹ittee and former chairman and director of Petrolimex Singapore, of all his Party posts.

The co妹妹ission also issued a warning against Trần Văn Thịnh, who was the former deputy secretary of the Party Co妹妹ittee and former general director of Petrolimex, and reprimanded Trần Minh Hải, deputy secretary of the Standing Board of the group’s Party Co妹妹ittee, and Nguyễn Thanh Sơn, deputy general director of Petrolimex.

At the session, the Party Central Co妹妹ittee’s Inspection Co妹妹ission asked inspection co妹妹issions of northern Hưng Yên and Nam Định provinces to investigate land management and use in public investment projects and in purchase of public assets.

Relating to the inspection results of the implementation of disciplinary measures against some officials of northern Hòa Bình Province and Central Highlands Kon Tum Province, the co妹妹ission decided to reconsider the disciplinary measures as they failed to match with the level of their violations. — VNS
