Petrol prices up nearly VNĐ1,000 per litre

HÀ NỘI — The ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance revised petrol prices up as of  三pm on Friday, marking the third consecutive increase so far this year.

The retail price of bio-fuel E 五 RON  九 二 rose by VNĐ 九 八 八 per litre to VNĐ 一 三, 三 九0 (US$0. 五 七) while that of RON  九 五 increased by VNĐ 九 五 五 per litre to a level of VNĐ 一 四,0 八0. 

The prices of diesel and kerosene were increased by VNĐ 七 六 六 and VNĐ 八 五 三 to VNĐ 一 一, 五 一 五 and VNĐ 九, 六 一0 per litre, respectively. Meanwhile, the price of mazut was VNĐ 八 三0 per litre higher to cap at VNĐ 一0, 三 二 二 per kilo.

The two ministries review fuel prices every  一 五 days to keep domestic prices up to date with the global market.

In the two weeks before June  一 二, world petrol prices went up by between  二 一 per cent and  一 九 per cent. 

In the past fortnight, global petrol prices were on the rise at $ 三 九. 五 六 a barrel of petrol RON 九 二 and that of RON 九 五 was $ 四 二. 四 a barrel.

The ministries decided to increase expenditure for the petrol price stabilisation fund by VNĐ 一00 per litre of E 五 RON  九 二 and VNĐ 四00 per litre of RON  九 五.

In the latest adjustment on May  二 八, the two ministries also increased the prices of E 五 bio-fuel and Ron  九 五 by VNĐ 八 八 二 and VNĐ 八 九0 per litre respectively. — VNS
